Juho Kuosmanen’s silent trilogy in the scenic milieu of the Tampere Cathedral.
The short films by the Cannes award-winning director Juho Kuosmanen encapsulate his films' warm portrayal of people and hopeful optimism towards human nature. Scrap-Mattila and the Beautiful Woman (2012), Moonshiners (2017), and A Planet Far Away (2023) comprise a short film trilogy that shows how Kuosmanen has grown as a director in the last ten years. The trilogy not only constitutes a unique whole but also a retrospective of the director's output.
Kuosmanen's silent films will be accompanied by live music at the Tampere Cathedral.
