Getting Started on Festhome TV

You must be a registered user to get access to films on Festhome TV. If you have not used the platform before, please start with registration. In order to do that, you will need a valid email address.

1. Please visit tv.festhome.com 
2. Please click the “Login”-icon in the top right corner of the front page.
3. If you don’t have a Festhome account, please choose “Register”.
4. Please enter your email address into the first field and then the password of your choice  into the next two fields. The password must be at least 8 characters.
5. Please enter your first name, last name and date of birth (yyyy/mm/dd) respectively into the three following fields.
6. Please choose your preferred language.
7. Please read and accept the terms of use by checking the undermost black box.
8. Please click “Register”.
9. You will receive a verification email. Please click the link in the message to verify your  registration.

Congratulations! You are now a registered user and ready to buy tickets and watch films on the platform. From now on, please choose “Login” to use Festhome TV with your email address and password.

We recommend that you test Festhome TV on your own device by watching the free Tampere Film Festival trailer. To start the trailer, click on the button “Get session ticket 0 €.” No bank card details or other payment service is required to watch the trailer.

Buying a single screening ticket

When purchased online, a single ticket for one online screening is valid for 24 hours  immediately after purchase. You can watch the screening several times during the 24 hour  period.  The 24 hour period to watch the screening for tickets purchased from pre-sale begins the moment the code is entered to Festhome TV.

1. Find the screening you would like to see
   • Go to the page tv.festhome.com/festivaltv/tampere-film-festival. Open the “Festival programme” menu by clicking the triangle on the right side. Find the screening you’d like to see from the list. The screenings are in alphabetical order.
2. Click “Buy session”. You have to be logged in.
3. Purchasing the screening:
   • Do not fill in “Voucher code” (unless you have a complimentary or pre-sale ticket), just click “Continue”. You can pay for the screening with a Visa, MasterCard, DinersClub, or American Express card, or you can use a PayPal account. Unfortunately Culture Benefits are not accepted as payments.
   • If you have bought the pre-sale ticket from the Festival Shop / if you have a complimentary ticket, please write a code to the box “Voucher code”. Then click “Continue”.
   • Please note that the bought ticket can not be refunded. Before paying, please check that you are buying a ticket to the correct screening.
4. Where can I find the screening I have bought?
   • You can find your tickets by clicking “Purchases” on the submenu of the profile picture on the top right corner of the page.
   • Also, once you have bought your tickets and you are logged in to your account, you can automatically watch the screening on the screening’s Festhome TV page.

1. You have to be logged in to your Festhome TV account to watch the screening.
2. Where can I find the screening I have bought?
   • You can find your tickets by clicking “Purchases” on the submenu of the profile picture on the top right corner of the page.
   • Also, once you have bought your tickets and you are logged in to your account, you can automatically watch the screening on the screening’s Festhome TV page.
3. Open the screening by clicking the first film of the screening. Click “Watch” and the screening will start. Once the film ends, click again “Watch”, if the next film won’t begin automatically.

Buying a Festival Pass

With the Festival Pass, you will get unlimited access to the Tampere Film Festival  programme on Festhome TV during 6–17 March. All screenings are available to watch until 17 March 23:59 (UTC+2:00) after which you can no longer watch the films.

1. Go to the Festhome TV: tv.festhome.com/festivaltv/tampere-film-festival
2. On the front page, before the list of films, you will find a red button that says “Festival Pass 80 €”.
3. Click the button, and the page will direct you to login. If you are a new user, register first (detailed instructions below).
4. Purchasing the Online Pass:
   • Do not fill in “Voucher code” (unless you have a complimentary or pre-sale pass), just click “Continue”. You can pay for the pass with a Visa, MasterCard, DinersClub, or American Express card, or you can use a PayPal account. Unfortunately Culture Benefits are not accepted as payments.
   • If you have bought the Online Pass from the Festival Shop / if you have a complimentary Festival Pass, please write a code to the box “Voucher code”. Then click “Continue”.
   • Please note that the bought Festival Pass can not be refunded.
5. Upon your next visit you only need to log in, and the Festival Pass will be ready to use.
6. Once you have bought your pass and you are logged in to your account, you can automatically watch the screenings by clicking the first film on screening’s Festhome TV page.

How to watch:

With the Festival Pass, you will get unlimited access to the Tampere Film Festival programme on Festhome TV from 6 March at 12:00 pm (UTC+2:00) to 17 March 11:59 pm.

1. You have to be logged in to your Festhome TV account to watch the screening.
2. Open the “Festival programme” menu, and find the screening you’d like to see from the list. The screenings are listed in alphabetical order.
3. Start the screening by clicking the first film image on the list. Click “Watch” and the screening begins. After the film has ended, you can begin the next film by clicking again “Watch”. Once the film ends, click again “Watch”, if the next film won’t begin automatically.
