EU’s general privacy policy setup (GDPR) application started 25th of May 2018. We have updated our privacy policy in accordance with the GDPR.

PRIVACY POLICY
EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a new regulation that includes protecting personal privacy and replaces data protection directive.

Tampereen elokuvajuhlat – Tampere Film Festival ry respects your privacy and always protects your personal data the best way possible. We aim to ensure in all our operations that your private data will be handled in the most secure way possible. In this Privacy Policy report we indicate what kind of information we collect and how we use it.

The primary criterion of handling your private data is based on custom relations or the consent of the registrar.

2. NAME OF THE REGISTER
Newsletter, accreditation register, event sign up register

3. WHICH PRIVATE DATA DO WE COLLECT?
We collect private data which are sent to us when ordering our newsletter, making accreditation, signing up to events and signing up to be a volunteer at our festival. The information collected includes name, birthdate, gender, nationality, organisation, address, tel, email, education, dietary and size of a t-shirt.

4. HOW DO WE USE PRIVATE DATA?
Information can be used to authentication, newsletter register, customer survey and list of participants. Data can be used to forward important information and targeting marketing. To receive newsletters can be ended from the link which is included in each newsletter.

Part of the data we collect is handled through service provider, who might have access to the data outside EU/EES, for example USA. We guarantee that the transfer of the data takes place in an appropriate and statutory manner.

Private data can be forwarded to authorities if demanded or for the purposes defined by law. Private data will not be forwarded to third parties.

5. HOW DO WE PROTECT PRIVATE DATA?
Tampere Film Festival considers the careful protection if the registered data very important. The data is stored in an electronic system that is protected by firewalls, passwords and other technical solutions. Only certain persons of the festival have access to the registers. All persons who use the register are subject to the obligation of duty of secrecy.

6. HOW LONG DO WE STORE PRIVATE DATA?

Private data will be in the registers only as long as necessary. Old and unnecessary information will be disposed appropriately. Private data is in the registers as given by the data provider and updates are made by instructions or request by the data provider.

7. CHECKING, UPDATING AND CORRECTING DATA
Data provider has the right to check personal information, correct the incorrect information, add data when incomplete and remove data from register as desired.

If the data is processed based on your consent you have the right to cancel your consent by notifying us according to this Privacy Statement. Requests for rights should be sent to the address mentioned in point 1. In written or by email.

If we do not comply with the data protection act, the data provider has the right to appeal to the authority.

8. SOCIAL MEDIA
Regarding to the information shared from festival website to different social media channels, Tampere Film Festival will follow the terms of the social media operator in question.

9. CHANGES IN THE PRIVACY DATA STATEMENT
Tampere Film Festival reserves the right to change the Privacy Statement by notifying it on its website.
