Here you’ll find the accessibility information for all of TFF’s venues.

1. Finnkino Cine Atlas
Koskikeskus, Hatanpään valtatie 1

 

All entrances to the Koskikeskus Shopping Centre are accessible. There are lifts open to the public to move between floors in the shopping centre. The main entrance to the festival is the Koskenranta entrance (picture 1, see below) where you will find electric sliding doors and a ramp.

Cinema: All auditoriums at Cine Atlas are adjustable for wheelchairs. Wheelchair access in auditoriums 1 and 4 is only possible with the help of staff. Auditoriums 2 and 3 are wheelchair accessible directly from the lobby. Wheelchair spaces are in the front row of the auditorium.

Toilets: There is one accessible toilet in Cine Atlas. There are more accessible toilets on floors 0 and 1 of Koskikeskus.

Access to the Shopping Centre: Access from Cine Atlas to the rest of Koskikeskus is via an escalator or lift. A lift can be found in the hallway behind the entrance to Cine Atlas (as seen from the Koskenranta entrance).

The lift from the 1st floor of Koskikeskus Shopping Centre to Finnkino Cine Atlas is located on the left in the corridor behind the escalator and stairs.

On the ground floor, the lift between Finnkino Cine Atlas and the upper floors of Koskikeskus is located in the corridor next to the cinema entrance.

The cinema and the 1st floor of Koskikeskus is also connected by an escalator and stairs.

2. Arthouse Cinema Niagara

Arthouse Cinema Niagara can be reached from many directions. From Hotel Ilves and Finnkino Cine Atlas, the are two optional routes: Via Kehräsaari bridge (Kehräsaaren silta), the route is partly sloping and possibly more slippery in the wintertime; Via Vuolteensilta the access is more flat and unobstructed.

Entrance: The main door of the building is an outward-opening glass door. There are two thresholds, around 5cm high, from the front door to the ticket office and the cinema. Venue staff will assist over thresholds when needed.

Cinema: There are two spaces for wheelchair users in the front of the Niagara auditorium. The auditorium has an induction loop. There is no induction loop at the ticket office and on the restaurant side.

Toilets: There is an accessible toilet along the hallway of the cinema (to the left before the entrance to the ticket office/restaurant Daisy (formerly Raina)).

3. Comedy Theatre Palace

Entrance: Coming in through the main theatre entrance, there are a few steps. A ramp can be installed when needed to provide step-free access to the ground floor. Ushers are available to assist at the entrance. The ramp supports a weight of approximately 300 kg.

Movement on the ground floor is generally accessible, and this level includes the auditorium, restaurant areas, and an accessible toilet.

 

4. Tampere Cathedral

Entrance: The church hall and other street-level areas are accessible. Accessible entrance is on the side of Rautatienkatu. There’s a ramp available during events and as needed. The church hall has an induction loop.

Toilets: There’s an accessible toilet on the back of the church hall. When looking from the main entrance, the toilet is on the left-hand side. The size of the stall is about 1,7 x 1,7 m.

 

5. Industry Centre

Vooninki: The space is all on one floor on street level with no steps or high thresholds. The toilets, including an accessible stall, are on the front of the venue space. The entire space is accessible to those with limited mobility.

Terde: The space is on two levels connected by a staircase. The top level is accessible with a wheelchair, but the view might be obstructed. You can borrow a wheelchair from the lobby between Terde and Vooninki. The space uses the same bathrooms as Vooninki.

The main entrance and the lobby are wheelchair accessible. There is also an accessible toilet in the lobby.

 

7. Desibeli

The nightclub is located on the second floor of the building. There is no elevator or accessible toilet.

 

8. Vastavirta-Klubi

Vastavirta-Klubi has parking spaces about 5m from the front door for drop-offs or pick-ups. The front door is approximately 90cm wide with a threshold 3,5cm wide. After the front door, there is an entryway 80cm wide.

Bar: There is a ramp 143cm long and 150cm wide leading up to the bar. There is ample space for mobility aid users to move about in front of the bar.

Toilets: There are two steps when going to the toilets (one 17cm high, one 20cm high). The toilets on the left-hand side have two stalls, both 67x100cm in size. The toilets on the right-hand side have a urinal at a height of 85cm. There is a step 15cm high in front of the urinal. The toilets on the right also have one stall without a door 130x182cm in size with a doorway 70cm wide.

If you aren’t able to use the aforementioned toilets, ask the staff about using the backstage toilet. The toilet backstage has a door 61cm wide, and the stall is 190cm wide and 128cm deep. The backstage toilet has handles.

 

9. Pitkän Päivän Ilta

The restaurant is located on the ground floor and is fully accessible. There are parking spaces in front of the restaurant.
The restaurant has one accessible restroom.
