Submissions for the 2026 Tampere Film Festival Competitions Are Now Open!
Get to know the rules and guidelines below. The 56th Tampere Film Festival will take place 4–8 March 2026.
This year Tampere Film Festival’s competitions received a total of 7 678 submissions, of which 123, representing 60 different countries, were chosen to participate. Thank you to all who submitted their work and congratulations to competition winners!

Tampere Film Festival’s competition winners were awarded at the Award Ceremony on Saturday, 8 March.
The Grand Prix in the International Competition went to Martín Seeger’s El canon (The Canon, 2024). Veera Lamminpää’s Mereneläviä (Fish River Anthology, 2024) took home a total of five prizes, including the Sustainability Award Verso as well as the Risto Jarva Prize.
