Youth Jury 2026

Lauri Unkuri

Lauri Unkuri studies at Tampere Upper Secondary School of Performing Arts.Alongside his studies and scouting, he engages in all kinds of artsy tinkering, both on his own and with friends. He spends his time filming quirky short films, working on visual arts projects, and consuming culture ranging from films to theatre and concerts. Lauri is inspired by creatures, social issues, different languages, and all kinds of cryptic things. Above all, he is always excited by new opportunities to learn and understand.

Taneli Aho

Taneli Aho is a second-year student in the media studies program at Sammon keskuslukio Upper Secondary School. Acting drew him in at a young age, and he has appeared on screen in the TV series Sori siitä and Koskinen (Season 5).

Through performing, his interest in filmmaking has grown strongly. Aho has taken part in several youth short film competitions with his own works, including Kaikki Kuvaa and Kajo. He is particularly fascinated by film’s ability to reflect human experiences and to pause the viewer in a moment. In Aho’s view, a film does not have to be large in scale to be powerful.

Lotta Rämö

Lotta has shot and directed a few short films at school. Her current favourite films include Psycho (1960), Kiki’s Delivery Service (1989) and Sinners (2025). For Lotta, there’s nothing better than seeing a good film at the cinema with a friend.
