Lasse Saarinen

Lasse Saarinen has served as Director of the Finnish Film Foundation since 2016. Between 1985 and 2016, Saarinen worked as a film producer in his own production companies, the most recent of which is Kinotar Oy. He has produced, among other works, 15 feature-length fiction films and over 50 documentary films.

Satu Kyösola

Satu Kyösola is a Senior University Lecturer in film history, theory, and research at the Department of Film at Aalto University. She studied film history and aesthetics in Paris from 1989 to 2001.

Before her current position, Satu worked at the Finnish Institute in France, the FILI – Finnish Literature Exchange and the University of Art and Design Helsinki. Since 2004, she has participated in the Midnight Sun Film Festival in Sodankylä as a guest host. As a board member of the association Fiction Finland, Satu has been involved in organizing the international Helsinki Script event and in enabling the restoration of Mikko Niskanen’s film Eight Deadly Shots together with The Film Foundation and the Film Archive in Bologna. She is a deputy member of the board of the Finnish Film Foundation for the 2025–2027 term.

Veera Lamminpää

Veera Lamminpää is a screenwriter and director working in both live-action and animation filmmaking. Her filmography includes several short films and writing credits for both fiction and non-fiction television series.

Her latest short film, the stop-motion musical Fish River Anthology (Mereneläviä, 2024), won five awards at Tampere Film Festival in 2025, including the Risto Jarva Prize. Since then, the film has screened at more than 70 international festivals, earning several jury and audience awards, and won the Best Short Film prize in the Finnish Jussi Film Awards 2025.
