Outi Freese
Outi Freese is the executive director of Koulukino (School Cinema Association). Koulukino is an expert organisation in film literacy, founded in 2001, which develops and promotes film education and audience engagement work targeted at schools, children, youth, and families.
Freese graduated from the University of Turku’s Department of Art Studies with a major in film and television studies. She has worked at Koulukino since its founding, and before Koulukino, Freese was a journalist-director at Yle’s children’s and youth department. She has also been one of the founders of the Finnish Society on Media Education and served on its board from 2005 to 2018. Freese is also a deputy member of the board of the Church Media Foundation.
