Projects and memberships

In addition to being an annual event, Tampere Film Festival is a long-standing organisation that has expanded its operations through different projects and memberships. Collaboration with other parties both diversifies our opportunities to bring films to screens of all sizes and strengthens our ties to an international community of film lovers. Here you will find more information about the memberships we hold as well as the projects we are a part of.

52 Views on Europe

Pirkanmaa Film Centre and Tampere Film Festival organised a weekly film series 52 Views on Europe during 2023. The year featured European cinema from classics to contemporary gems, fiction, documentaries, animation, silent film concerts – films for children, young people, adults, everyone. The films were usually screened at the Arthouse Cinema Niagara in Tampere, but screenings were also held in other cinemas in Pirkanmaa.

The project was supported by Operation Pirkanmaa and the Creative Europe programme of the European Union.

Nordic & Baltic Short Film Festivals Network

The Nordic & Baltic Short Film Festivals Network was founded in 2010 by eight festivals with a mission to deepen the cooperation between Nordic film festivals.

The aim is to strengthen the position of Nordic short film by collaborations and networking, by exchanging information and ideas. Since the inception, the three Baltic nations have been included in the cooperation and expanded its reach.

The project is supported by Nordic Culture Point.
