Julia Kenttälä
Julia Kenttälä studies a double degree at the Tampere Vocational College Tredu, specialising in audiovisual communication. Although she has only a few years’ experience in the media field, she has already worked in video production and photography as well as films, and she aims to do as much work as she can in her own field.
Creativity and art are close to Julia’s heart. When watching films, she pays particular attention to visual expression and other technical aspects.
Emma Kuusinen
Emma Kuusinen is an enthusiastic member of the youth jury. In her fourth year at the Tammerkoski Upper Secondary School arts programme, 19-year-old Emma loves all kinds of art and has tried everything from portrait painting to sculpture. She has also tried her hand at making her very own short film.
In her free time, Emma watches films and often finds inspiration in the adventures of the silver screen. She particularly values bold and creative ideas, unconventional choices in shot sizes, and beautiful mise-en-scènes. Emma’s favourite films include, among others, The Grand Budapest Hotel (2014), Coraline (2009), and The Lord of the Rings: the Return of the King (2003).
Veikka Liukkonen
20-year-old Veikka Liukkonen is in his final year at the Tampere Arts-Oriented Senior Secondary School. He has long loved movies and has been interested in the film industry and the techniques and technologies behind films – with a special interest in CGI, 3D graphics and films that provoke discussion.
Veikka is a passionate advocate for diversity and the use of new perspectives in films, which makes him a valuable addition to the festival jury.
