Finnish Broadcasting Company Yle’s Uusi Kino has introduced many Finnish directors, writers and actors to a national audience. Out of the ten short films selected for the collection celebrating 30 years of Uusi Kino, four oldie-but-goodies have been selected to screen at Tampere Film Festival. These four films have been some of the most remarkable ones in Uusi Kino’s history, and the artists behind them have since gained both national and international success.
A brief interview from the filmmakers will be shown before each film. The interviews are directed by Juha Suomalainen.
The screening is a collaboration between Tampere Film Festival and Yle.
