The European Film Academy (EFA) is a European organisation of filmmakers and film industry professionals that has been promoting European film for over 40 years. Its most visible form of operations is its annual awards ceremony.
For more than 20 years the Tampere Film Festival has been one of the festivals through which films have had the opportunity to be chosen as the best short film of the year.
