Outi Rousu
Outi Rousu works as a producer in national and international film productions. She has produced around fifty films: feature-length narrative films, documentary films, short films and media art. Her latest international co-productions are the documentary film The Making of a Japanese (Japan-US-Finland-France, 2024) and its shortened cut, Instruments of a Beating Heart (New York Times: OP DOCS, 2024).
From 2014 to 2019, Rousu worked as production advisor for AVEK’s documentary and short films. She serves as chairperson of the Uudenmaa Art Committee (Uudenmaan taidetoimikunta). Her other notable positions of trust have been chairperson of the board of DocPoint film events and member of the Finnish Film Arts Committee as well as the Media Arts Division. Rousu is a board member of the Church Media Foundation.
