Online Screenings 4–15 March
(for accredited guests until 31 March)
The screenings of the International Competition, National Competition, and Generation XYZ Competition, with a few exceptions, are available online at Filmchief between 4–15 March.
Few of this year’s competition films are not available on Filmchief. See the list of missing films below.
You can purchase tickets and browse the available films on Tampere Film Festival’s Filmchief Hub. Purchasing tickets and watching films requires creating a user account in the Filmchief service. The hub is available in Finnish and English: you can change the language from the EN/FI button on the top right corner.
The screenings are available to view in Finland only, with the exception of accredited guests, who can watch the screenings worldwide.
Online Ticket Prices
ONLINE PASS 80 €
With the Online Pass you’ll get unlimited access to view competition screenings on Filmchief during 4–15 March.
SINGLE SCREENINGS 8 €
Tickets purchased online: a single ticket is valid for one online screening for 24 hours immediately after purchase.
Getting Started on Filmchief
If you already have a Filmchief account:
- Open Tampere Film Festival’s Filmchief page
- Click on the “Login” button on the page.
- Choose either an Online Pass for limitless access or choose single tickets for specific screenings.
- To add an individual screening to your shopping cart, click on the screening price (€8.00).
- Once you have selected the screenings or Online Pass, click on the shopping cart in the upper corner of the page to pay for your screening tickets or Online Pass. Payment methods include credit and debit cards and PayPal.
If you don’t have a previous Filmchief account:
- Open Tampere Film Festival’s Filmchief page
- At the bottom of the page, you can choose whether to purchase an Online Pass for unlimited viewing or individual tickets for specific screenings.
- If you choose an Online Pass, add it to your shopping cart.
- If you want to buy a ticket for a single screening, browse the available screenings by clicking the Have a look button. Select the screening you want, click on the screening price (€8.00), and it will be added to your shopping cart.
- Once you have added either an Online Pass or the individual screenings you want, click on the shopping cart at the top of the page.
- In the shopping cart, enter your email address and click Next. You will receive instructions on how to proceed to create a new account.
- Once you have created a new account, you can pay for your tickets or an Online Pass. Payment methods include credit and debit cards and PayPal.
Next time you want to watch online screenings, log in with these credentials.

Filmchief Online Screenings FAQ
Which films can be seen online?
The online film programme consists of films from our International, National and Generation XYZ Competitions. Most of the films can be watched all around the world but some are restricted only to Finland. Some competition films will not be available online. More info about possible restrictions can be found higher up on this page.
How does it work?
You can find our Filmchief Hub at: https://tamperefilmfestival.filmchief.com/hub/
You have to create an account at Filmchief to be able to watch films. 1 program ticket is 8 €, and you can watch the screening as many times as you want within 24 hours. Online Pass is 80 € and lets you watch all the screenings as many times as you want.
You can access online film screenings directly from the Hub from 4 March to 15 March 2026.
I have lost my login details, what should I do?
If you’ve lost your details, go to the login page and click “Forgot your password”.
Where can I find information about the films?
Each online screening has its own page where you can find information about that screening and the films included in it. If you click on a film, you will find information about the film. More information can be found on our website’s Screenings page.
Are the films subtitled?
All online films can be understood in English or Finnish. Any films with any other language has Finnish and English subtitles.
Am I able to download the films to my computer?
No, you can only stream the films directly on the platform.
I’m having trouble loading the films. What can I do?
If the films don’t load quickly or they buffer midstream, there may be a problem with the streaming quality or the internet speed. To solve this problem, check your internet connection, or try lowering the quality of the stream.
