Short Films from Various Age Groups

The Pirkanmaa Film Centre also provides media training through various short film projects co-produced with third parties. This screening features short films made by kids, teenagers, young adults and the elderly, with support from the Brita Maria Renlund Memorial Foundation and The Wellbeing Services County of Pirkanmaa.

Shoots for these films were set up at the offices of child protective services, elderly care facilities and in conjunction with other activities of TSAU ry, an organisation providing support for people on the autism spectrum. These new filmmakers were taught how to go through each stage of the filmmaking process and given free reign on how to express themselves through their work. A responsible artist is someone who’s committed to executing artistic work on the participants’ terms with no artistic ambitions of their own.

Featuring new shorts finished in 2025, this screening can also be recommended to those in care work. This screening allows you to see the many different purposes filmmaking can fill.

The filmmakers will be present and introduced at the screening, and there will be time for discussion afterwards.
