Euro Connection 2026 – Call for Projects

Applications for the 18th edition of Euro Connection short film co-production forum are now open. The event will take place on 3–4 February 2026 during the Short Film Market in Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival with support from Creative Europe MEDIA and PROCIREP. The deadline for application is 20 October 2025.
Euro Connection is a platform designed for European producers, broadcasters, distributors and financial backers. The pitching and networking event aims at fostering partnerships between European production companies around quality short film projects. A selection of XR projects will complete the coproduction forum.
Past editions of Euro Connection have resulted in the completion of 142 films, including 77 international co-productions!
Short Film Projects
Projects must match the following criteria to be eligible:
- The project is a short film (animation, fiction, creative documentary).
- Application is made by a company based in one of the associated countries.
- The duration does not exceed 30 minutes.
- The project must have partial funding secured from an external source.
- The project is intended as an international co-production.
- Shooting or production shall start no earlier than June 2026.
In each country, national correspondents collect and evaluate submitted projects to nominate the finalist project. A European jury of 3 industry professionals selects up to 11 projects from all finalists projects, who will be invited to Euro Connection to pitch their project. The invitation includes travel grant (160 €) for the producer, accommodation and meals (4 nights) and accreditation to the Short Film Market. Selected projects will be notified by the end of November 2025.

Producers in Focus

Each Producer in Focus is given a two-minute window during Euro Connection to facilitate interactions with other members and industry players. This is not a project-related pitch, but rather a brief profile presentation of their company, their approach to short films and to coproduction.
Invitation to the Producers in Focus includes accommodation and meals (3 nights), accreditation to the Short Film Market and invitation to the Euro Connection / CNC networking cocktail.
