The short film screening TFF GOES MANSE PRIDE: LUST & PARTY, curated by Tampere Film Festival, will be presented as part of the Manse Pride 2026 programme. The screening will take place on Wednesday, 10 June at 19:30 at Arthouse Cinema Niagara.

This year, the festival celebrates Manse Pride with four short films exploring the unholy alliance between desire and celebration. In queer culture, parties have always played an important role: they have been spaces where people can both liberate themselves and, if they wish, remain hidden.

For safety reasons, parties often had to be organised in secret and in private spaces. They offered opportunities to create alternative norms that served the needs of those attending. Within these spaces, people could act out their wildest fantasies. But fear not consensual sex and safer-space principles have been part of queer culture long before these practices entered the mainstream.

The four short films presented in this programme trace the dramatic arc of a party. In the first film, J’irai au ball (France, 2022), young Thomas is just beginning to discover something new. Bleifrei 95 (Austria, Germany, 2025) depicts how things at a party can sometimes get a little out of hand. Orgy Every Other Day (Germany, United States, 2024) offers a subtle glimpse into the world of New York sex parties. Finally, El jardí del diable (Spain, 2025) follows two people in the aftermath of a party, where hangovers, uncertainty, and regret become bittersweetly intertwined.

Tickets can be purchased through Niagara’s website or at the box office. All Manse Pride screenings at Arthouse Cinema Niagara are also listed on their website.

Manse Pride is an annual event organised by Sinuiksi ry, held for the 12th time this year 8–14 June. More information is available on the Manse Pride website.

ORGY EVERY OTHER DAY
Samuel Döring
Germany, United States | 2024 | Documentary | 13 min

Bodies of diverse genders come together and play with each other with relish, always careful to act consensually and respect each other’s boundaries. For many genderqueer people, these parties are of great importance when it comes to feeling comfortable in their own body and gender and discovering them anew. While the auditive and visual levels were produced independently of each other – interviews on the one hand and sensual dance performances and animations on the other – images and sounds together attempt to create something third: A part spicy fast-paced, part thoughtful dive into New York’s queer underground sex party scene.

Pol Rebaque
