Short Film Screenings at Arthouse Cinema Niagara

Tampere Film Festival and Pirkanmaa Film Centre are teaming up once again for a series of short film screenings this autumn at Arthouse Cinema Niagara! The first collaborative screening takes place on Thursday, 28 August, featuring Polish animation in the programme O!PLA FOCUS ON POLAND vol. 13. The screening presents the audience award-winning films from the 2025 O!PLA Animation Festival.

The next screening will follow on Thursday, 4 September, showcasing eight short films from Southern Estonia in the screening Arts of Survival: Short Films from Estonia.

On Thursdays, 11 and 18 September, the best films from the Budapest Short Film Festival will be shown in the screenings BuSho – Award-Winning Hungarian Short Films part 1 and part 2.

On Thursday, 25 September, award-winning short films by Thanasis Neofotistos as well as Mihai Grecu and Thibault Gleize will be screened. The screening concludes with Kevork Aslanyan’s dark comedy Getting Fat in a Healthy Way (Bulgaria, Germany, 2016).

Tickets for the screenings are 5 €, available on Niagara’s website and at the cinema’s box office.
