This year, a record of 662 films were submitted for the Generation XYZ Competition for genre films. An impressive collection of 20 films from 16 different countries were selected for the series.
Generation XYZ is a short film competition focused on thriller, sci-fi, horror, action, and fantasy films, organised since 2021.

The winners of the 2026 competitions will be announced at the Awards on Saturday 7 March at Comedy Theatre Palace.
