Thought-provoking conversations about curators who influence the art scene in the Western world, but also other regions. Whose voice is heard when we discuss what constitutes as art? Is a westerner truly capable of appreciating a piece that is not influenced by European art tradition? What are the key differences between Asian and European aesthetics?

We are joined by e.g. curators Chizuru Usui (Japan) and Geraldine Gomez (Centre Pompidou, France), multimedia artist Caroline Monnet (Canada), Tytti Rantanen of AV-arkki and the head of Tampere Art Museum Taina Myllyharju. The discussions will be moderated by film maker Chris Thomas.

The discussions will take place in English.
