WOW Finland Festival in Tampere Hall

Tampere Film Festival presents: Other Arabia / Toinen Arabia (ENG/FI)
Maestro, Tampere Hall,  Sat 11.03.  at 4.30 pm – 5.45 pm

The screening focuses on films that come from Arabic speaking countries of the Middle-East and North Africa. An area this wide covers a variety of different cultures, yet the language in common brings cultural connection. The area is on the news almost on a daily basis, but what do we really know? How does the arabic speaking world looks like from the point of view of women? Through the movies we get to see below the surface, there is more to these cultures than women in veils or fundamentalists. The screening is curated by Tampere Film Festival. The screening can be understood in English.
