Fri 6 March | 1.30pm–3.30pm | Werstas Auditorium | In Finnish
Sustainability is an important topic in every part of society – including the film industry. Last year, the very first sustainability guide for the audio visual industry was published. Business responsibility, carbon footprint calculators, subsidies for sustainability and ecology coordinators have become common topics. Structural Change of the national audio visual industry is here, but what does that mean exactly? How does the traditional production model change with the new green thinking?
Discussing these and other topics are director of the Promotion Center for Audiovisual Culture (AVEK) Ulla Simonen, Director of Film Tampere Ilkka Rahkonen, producer Venla Hellstedt from Tuffi Films and the writers of the Ekosetti guide for sustainability Anne Puolanne and Kaisa Astikainen. Moderated by Miia Haavisto, professor of the Department of Film, Television and Scenography.
