The first virtual Tampere Film Festival in history has now officially and ceremonially been declared open! Film screenings are waiting for you on <a href=\"https:\/\/tv.festhome.com\/festivaltv\/tampere-film-festival\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Festhome TV<\/a>, choose your favourites and enjoy!<\/p>\n<p>Today on Thursday the Industry Programme truly takes off in the festival\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dealroomevents.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Deal Room<\/a> event and on the festival\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/user\/TampereFilmFestival\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">YouTube channel<\/a>. For accredited guests there will be panel discussions on<a href=\"https:\/\/tamperefilmfestival.fi\/en\/industry\/industry-programme\/growth-through-finance\/\"> the funding of animations<\/a> as well as on <a href=\"https:\/\/tamperefilmfestival.fi\/en\/industry\/industry-programme\/finding-new-audiences-for-genre-films-with-diverse-stories-eng\/\">the diversity and new audiences for genre-films<\/a>. Today\u2019s speakers for the two-day event <a href=\"https:\/\/tamperefilmfestival.fi\/en\/industry\/industry-programme\/script-tampere-2021-en\/\">Script Tampere 2021<\/a> are <strong>Eeva Putro<\/strong>, the writer of <strong>Tove Jansson<\/strong>\u2019s biopic <i>Tove<\/i>, as well as <strong>Ronnie Sandahl<\/strong>, the writer of <i>Borg vs McEnroe<\/i> and <i>Tigers.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>Those that are craving post screening discussions and gatherings will find comfort at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/events\/5147904605280937?acontext=%7B%22event_action_history%22%3A[%7B%22mechanism%22%3A%22search_results%22%2C%22surface%22%3A%22search%22%7D]%7D\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Film Club Monroe\u2019s Film Circle<\/a> which will be held over Zoom on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The Film Circle is held <strong>in Finnish<\/strong> only. The Film Circle will commence tonight at 9pm with mutual discussions on the <a href=\"https:\/\/tamperefilmfestival.fi\/en\/programme\/generation-xyz-1\/\"><i>Generation XYZ 1<\/i><\/a> screening. Be sure to watch the screening in advance and join the Film Circle\u2019s Zoom conversation at 9pm. Additional details on the event can be found on Facebook.<\/p>\n<p>Also, the festival has traditionally hosted post screening Q&amp;A sessions where the audience has had the chance to address the directors that are present with questions raised by the films. While interviews with directors are being held in many different formats during the virtual festival, the traditional Q&amp;A sessions will still be organised on Thursday, Friday and Saturday with the directors of the films chosen for the National Competition.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/tamperefilmfestival.fi\/en\/programme\/director-interviews-national-competition-short-films\/\">Thursday\u2019s director interviews<\/a> will take place at 8pm on the festival\u2019s Facebook channel. All interviews can be found on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=jp1OOc1c9pk&amp;list=PL-oAaVXtOFGfDk_xTvBw5FMyQMyRITpSC\">our YouTube channel<\/a>.
