Over the decades, many Iranian short films have been selected and celebrated at Tampere Film Festival. Now, the Tehran International Short Film Festival<\/a> brings that journey full circle with a specially curated screening titled Pioneers: Iranian Echoes from Tampere.<\/span><\/p>\n

The screening, developed exclusively for this year\u2019s festival edition, is part of the festival\u2019s non-competitive international side programme, aiming to exhibit remarkable accomplishments in the realm of global short cinema, in addition to engaging in retrospection of the heritage of Iranian short films.<\/span><\/p>\n

The selection includes six award-winning Iranian short films that were previously recognised at Tampere Film Festival. Revisiting these works offers audiences an opportunity to reflect on the history, evolution, and artistic achievements of Iranian short cinema, which is recognised internationally.<\/span><\/p>\n

The 42nd Tehran International Short Film Festival takes place from 19 to 24 October 2025<\/strong>, in Tehran, Iran. The Pioneers: Iranian Echoes from Tampere screening will be shown every evening with the presence of the curators.<\/span><\/p>\n
