The 52nd edition of Tampere Film Festival takes place 9–13 March 2022 in Tampere.
The volunteer recruitment for 2022 festival is open 13 Jan–11 Feb.

What do we expect?
You should be at least 18 years old and ready to commit to the given tasks. Your duties as a volunteer will run smoothly thanks to your positive attitude and flexibility. In certain customer service duties it is essential to have fluency in Finnish, other language skills are a bonus.
Tampere Film Festival operates by the principles of equity, justice and equality, and we expect our volunteers to adhere to these values.
We follow the Covid-19 guidelines and operate according to our Health Safety Plan which we update regularly according to the given regulations and recommendations from the authorities. We require wearing a face mask whenever possible, in addition we strongly recommend obtaining the Covid-19 vaccine.Volunteer tasks
What do we offer?
As a volunteer you will receive a festival t-shirt and the festival programme catalogue which offers comprehensive information about films, screenings and events. Staff badge will allow you free entry to the festival evening clubs depending on capacity.
Volunteers will receive a food voucher per each 5-hour shift which allows you to eat free in one of the festival cooperative restaurants.
There are break rooms at venues or nearby for the festival staff where we offer refreshments and light snacks.
ACCESS TO SCREENINGS
We offer you free access with your Staff badge to all normal-priced (9€) screenings depending on the seat availability. You will also receive a free voucher for Festhome TV platform where you can watch available festival screenings online.
WORK EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATE
As a volunteer you have the opportunity to gain wide work experience and create professional or recreational networks. We offer you adequate responsibility with your tasks but also guidance and support from your team leader. We will give you a work certificate upon request.
FESTIVAL WORK SCHEDULE AND SHIFTS
The duration of each shift is 5-6 hours and a volunteer is expected to work a minimum of four different days. We aim to find suitable shifts for everyone. Working hours can take place anytime from early mornings to late nights depending on the assigned team. Certain assignments take place before and after the festival week.
How do we proceed?
Closing date for volunteer applications is 11 February. You will be notified of the selections in approximately two weeks after the closing date for applications. Selected volunteers will also receive additional information about the festival procedures and health safety guidelines.
Team leaders will prepare work schedules and arrange orientation for the volunteers well before the festival.Sign up for volunteer work
